US government moving to digital dollar? You have to be kidding. People are flocking to digital currently because it is not under the control of the government. Who wants to buy into anything run by the government? They do not even know how to balance a budget.

The dollar is already 80% digital. There are more dollars in "circulation" than there are physical printed dollars.

Also, be careful about "digital currency not under control of government". Blockstream has a strangle hold on Bitcoin and its value is tightly coupled to Tether that has no limits on supply.
