Today when I heard about the "mass shooting" the news decided to cover, my brain immediately went to the politics of it. How the will use it to push gun control. My first thought should have been about the victims, and I felt like shit for it. Anybody else having this problem?

I can sympathize with you, because I have been experiencing the same thing. Whenever any news breaks, I am instantly dissecting it to try to find the political angle that's going to be taken.

But that's what the media has created in us. We understand that our rights are under attack, and because we have seen this time and time again from them, we can predict the vector. We have seen first-hand the narrative change when new information comes out, evolving from "wHiTe SuPrEmAcY" to "AR15's bad" in minutes.

Like it has already been said, you can't unsee this. At least not until the media restores it's tattered respect.

God bless
