We have a number of families at my kids school which only get food at school. On Fridays the school sends those kids home with food enough to make it to Monday.

I am somewhat torn, but: the schools shouldn't be sending home food, and the parents should be beat within an inch of their lives for treating their children such ways.

Why aren't their parents feeding their children?

There should be legal punishment if parents do not provide meals to their children. Even animals provide meals to their children. These are supposed to be human beings.
