The two EMTs testified that the scene surrounding Floyd was "unwelcoming" or otherwise insecure. The fire captain testified that firefighters are EMTs and their crew was unable to locate Floyd when they arrived at Cup Foods.
So let's setup a timeline:
Floyd uses a fake $20 bill, and refuses to return or pay for cigarettes
Cops are called because shopkeepers don't like being robbed.
** At least a dozen on lookers whip out their camera hoping to record a video they can post on Facebook or Instagram for fake internet points **
** EMTs arrive on scene but due to the crowd they must leave before providing aid or even notifying fire **
** Fire department EMTs wastes valuable time looking for a patient that is no longer at cup foods **
Congratulations, the onlookers kept Floyd from receiving the medical care he needed when he needed it and Minneapolis burned down.
I hope the Facebook likes were worth it.
