yes, it depends when blockchain they are built on top of however. get a metamask wallet, set it up, buy ethereum and transfer it over to there. hook up your metamask wallet to uniswap and you can begin buying alt coins by copying the contact address from coingecko or coinmarketcap into the uniswap exchange and make sure you add the new token address to your metamask wallet as well. the reason you can buy these tokens is because they are ERC-20 tokens, meaning they are built on top of the ethereum block chain. the majority of tokens at the moment are built on top of ethereum, the second biggest DAPP (decentralized application platform) is BSC, binance smart chain. start with ethereum, theres plenty of youtube vids, never give anyone your password or private keys.
