At the beginning of the Plandemic, remember when Covid stuck too every surface, especially money? The mints stopped printing coins and there was a shortage? Fauci pulled back on the whole touch thing because the big retailers and Amazon told him to stop.

You can't do much in China without a government ID so pretty much everyone has one so it's likely tied to that.
They serve the same function as we typically use drivers license in the states, need one to open a bank account, purchase a sim card, travel on a train, rent something, etc.
As for cash the use of cash in China has dropped dramatically in the last few years do to WeChat Pay and AliPay type services, some don't bother carrying cash arround anymore its so prevalent. Credit cards never really took off, but these pay services did big-time, and I got to give props for the effectiveness and ease of use especially getting it to small merchants and no crazy fees.
You open the app scan a QR code and you pay, super easy, down side is now the government can potentially see everything, but it's like that with credit cards anyway. You of course need an ID to open the account.
I don't have data to back it up, but I don't think the social credit score system is widely used at least yet, more it exists as a threat of public shaming for bad behavior.
OrangePill --- thanks for the response. If you know this answer please respond. Do everyday normal Chinese hate America? Are all Chinese people members of the CCP? If you are not are you punished or pushed aside for not taking part in the party? Do the Chinese people have any power against the ruling party and they don't resist anymore and it is common place to just work and go about your business?
I believe most Americans have sympathy for the Chinese people in general but your ruling class in the CCP seem to be pretty evil. You have state run media and do must people take it with a grain of salt or do most people believe all the hate about America. Do Chinese people want their government to start a war with us or try to take it over through economic/political means.
These might sound like dumb questions but I never hear from regular Chinese people about these matters just talking heads of the CCP so I don't know what to believe. Thanks Orange
