Wasn’t there a shitty nullifying clause that basically negated any damages of punitive action against the tech companies?
If there are no teeth it’s just as bad as “if we ban guns then there will be no fun crime” or possibly even worse as Texans should be familiar with the logic already.
Here is what I thought was shitty wording based on a disinfo post in another thread:
“ Sec. 143A.004. LIMITATION ON EFFECT OF CHAPTER. This
chapter does not subject an interactive computer service to damages
or other legal remedies to the extent the interactive computer
service is protected from those remedies under federal law.”
The last part fixes the first part which is all that was snipped for the disinfo post. The more you know.
