I'm not really sure what the hell the dude could do. I mean...the brace thing is amusing. It just illustrates the absurdity of the regulatory framework to begin with. And exactly what purpose does regulating SBR/SBS serve anyway? If he banned braces, you could still pay your dumb tax stamp and get an SBR. The buffer tube by itself with no brace is a bit awkward. But what do you do about AK pistols that don't have a buffer tube and could simply have no brace?
No it's not about the government making more money actually. This is a particular strategy to take guns out of the normal Joes hands. They want to make owning guns so expensive with taxes on ammo, guns owned, stamps, etc. because an average guy/girl/robot toaster working a 9-5 won't be able afford it, or justify it.
