What you call the tear down, is really an awakening. There's a lot of people who need to be shook awake. I'm not talking about the Nation, but that too. This is what happens when a nation is established by following God and then forgetting to include him in all we do.

The founders, almost exclusively, were Christian's. How many of us wish one of them were here today? I'd bet all of us.
