What purpose does forcing payment of a $200 tax stamp + an epic and inexcusably ridiculous wait to process the papers serve for buying an SBR/SBS/Supressor?? If I can legally buy the weapon, I can legally get the tax stamp. Hence, it is not "protecting" anyone, but it is taxing my constitutional right. If they made you wait a year and pay $200 for your voter registration, or issued $200 speech permits that you had to wait for, you'd be slam dunked out of here by even an Obama judge.

The NFA serves no purpose but to grift and also to inconvenience law abiding citizens. It must be struck down. Fuck the NFA.
