One of the best ones is on the light bulb. There are still 100 plus year old lightbulbs burning. One in a firehouse in NY I think. Basically the lightbulb manufacturers got together and said “hey we aren’t making enough $$$ make that shit break after so many uses. Straight up real world conspiracy.

Well the firehouse is a special case. The way most people treat lightbulbs an incandescent lightbulb would not normally last nearly that long. Nowadays lightbulb planned obsolescence isnt really a thing anymore with led bulbs existing but it definitely was in the mid 20th century.
