Universal ID already exists. It's called a passport.

A passport alone isn't acceptable ID to vote, because it does not list your current address, something key to knowing who should be voting where. A passport IS, however, the gold standard in proving US citizenship.

Agreed. When you register to vote to a particular precinct, something other than a passport is required to identify residency.

maybe that's what liberals believe, but reality is far from that. I also think that government should issue passport for free to every citizen. And that document should be used to vote.
