In some cities the Democrats ruined, like Detroit, the property tax bill wound up being more than the value of the property, so everyone just abandoned their homes. I.e., if your property tax bill is $20k and your home is worth $20k, why bother paying property taxes? Just default and stay there until the government forecloses.
This is a great point. You pay for medical procedures and medication for men and women to practice on you. Not only do you pay tax for those procedures you also pay tax on those medications that their practice recommends.

I more so meant that you don't own it and don't even entirely have control over it, and you'll have to return it at some point.
