The problem is that the monopoly goes beyond that. It goes into bigger outlets shutting out access.... apple, google.... especially with regard to phones.... are able to shut down people and companies that they don't like. There are plenty of people who can build alternatives. That's never been the issue. It's bigger, unfortunately.
