This brings back memories of naturalism camp in 4th grade.

Our whole 4th grade class went to camp for a week to learn about nature and the environment (California, go figure) and we had a talent show on one of the evenings after the nightly camp meeting.

I could barely noodle out a bare-bones “Chariots of Fire” on the piano, so the rest of the guys in our cabin wore their long-johns and “ran” in slow-motion for a few bars until I ran out of notes, then finished the “race” at a toilet paper finish line.

We thought we were so badass but looking back it was so cringe, lol.

Great movie too!

Vangelis ftw. I love his work and he is one of the major musical influences on me and inspired some of my compositions.

Any time I see British movies from past decades it makes me so sad - the England that built an empire and won two world wars is gone, dead and buried with never a shot fired. The whole country just committed suicide. So sad.

The irony is that Britain fought to destroy the anti-communist Germans, and now the communists have completely demographically replaced them, And they are working to destroy their culture

If you liked "Chariots" check out "Champions" with John Hurt, Edward Woodward and Kirstie Alley. Another British "against all odds" movie.

I saw it when it came out. ( To much hoopola) Probably the worst movie I ever saw.
