I just turned 21 not too long ago but I still live at home and my brother and I’s viewpoints are vastly different on this pandemic and vaccine from my parents. My mom is afraid of the China Flu and my dad just goes along with it. My brother and I aren't. We believe in freedom. My mom wants everyone to take the vaccine including us. She thinks we're selfish and only thinking about ourselves.

I still live at home so they're still discussing whether to force us to take it even though they know our thoughts on it. It's just upsetting. She won't even try to understand my thought process. I want to go about my day not thinking about a virus with a 99% survival rate but everywhere I go it follows. My family bring it up all the time. Thoughts my patriot Pedes? You guys are the one of the few who understand me.

It's always been said. If you live under my roof you need to obey my rules. If you're employed I would encourage you to get with 2 other buddies and find a 3 bedroom house to rent. Time to leave the nest.

And I understand that saying and I deal with a lot of crap that they say or do but forcing a vaccine and being completely irrational about this China Flu when they know I'm not is disappointing and frustrating. They're my parents and I’ll never abandon them. Nor will they with us.

Yeah, we're both working and saving money. Every situation is different and in due time my friend. In this area, we don't have any friends. Thanks for the advice!

You and your brother should get an apartment together.

Don’t spend your 20’s living at home.

PeachmintsPepe45 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

In due time my friend. We're working and saving money in an area with no friends. We’ll get there.

Good luck. And some advice that was given to me when I was younger that helped me out, was simply; “everything will work out.”

marishiten 10 points ago +10 / -0

You're still young so you're not jaded yet.

I like your spirit. That you can take on any challenge and change the world. Don't lose it.

But you need to understand something:

You cannot change those that don't want to be changed. Some people will not see your perspective no matter how hard you try. This is especially true when it comes to parents as they see you as subservient. They know what's best and they never really see you as a true equal intellectually. Especially as you're 21. Not that it's a bad thing, it's just how it goes.

Don't waste your time and energy arguing with those that won't hear you. Those two things are extremely valuable and finite. It's better to save it for fights you can win.

Also, old people resist change like a motherfucker. They don't like to be wrong. You have to introduce gradually and very slowly. Little by little. Also, another key point is you have to let them arrive at the answer on their own. You can't force them to it and you can't just tell them. You have to let them connect the dots on their own. They have to question it in their heads and they have to arrive at the answer you want them to. You also need to get them to agree with you. On anything, it doesn't matter. This is difficult to master but it's the most effective way for anything to stick. Just drop little things here and there, don't push too hard, don't be overly aggressive, and don't be blunt. Just ask little questions. The easiest way to get your foot in the door is to get them to agree that the media is bullshit and lies to you. If they agree with you, the more likely they are to be receptive that what you say right after that.

It's sleazy, but winning people over to your idea's is literally like selling shit over the phone. And the tactics work.

pedespeed 7 points ago +7 / -0

I agree with most here. It's time to spread your wings, leave the nest and soar. If you don't have the $, pick up an apprenticeship and start laying the ground work for your future success.

You are younger enough to start F.I.R.E. (Financially Independent, Retired Early) at an early age. Look it up! 🐸

If you must defend your ideals to your parents, check out American Front Line Doctors, it's a good starting point for research.

I don't think your goal should be to change their mind, that is highly unlikely to happen.
Supply them with enough information so they conclude on their own, that although they disagree, at least you've done significant research.

Also, don't alienate your parents, it's not their fault they are brainwashed.

It's encouraging to see young folks like you and your bro. MAGA young man!

Abovethefray 2 points ago +2 / -0

Good luck young pede! Remember, pay yourself first... keep some of that money you earn. You will nedd it one day, and that can give you peace of mind.

Really one of the best things money can buy.

Keep it up friend. You will be happy you did!

1
PeachmintsPepe45 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Thank you! I'm MAGA to my core. My brother agrees. We're working and saving money. That day will come when the opportunities align. I’d never alienate them. Nor they with us. I'm just disappointed and frustrated.

Over bearing mothers and the men who stand by and foot the bill are the people who ruined the country. Make sure you dont live this way. Take charge of your life.

4

I should say. Start saving money and if you're on the poorer side house hack a duplex. Gain power.

You are 21! You are an adult! Get an apt! I lived at home 3 months after college and then got the hell out! Get 3 jobs if that’s what it takes to get the money to pay rent.

PeachmintsPepe45 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's great advice and all but everyone's situation is different. I'm working and saving money. That time will come.

Just show them the AGE TABLES.... for most healthy people under 50, you have a far better chance dying is a car accident than from COIVD.

And of course - about half the people that catch covid - don't even know they have/had it because they get ZERO SYMPTOMS...

LASTLY - Tell them the IMMUNE SYSTEM DOES ALL THE WORK REGARDLESS.... regardless of taking the jab or not.. it is the immune system that beats the Virus 100% of the time... with that in mind show them:

"Over 100 Scientists, Doctors, & Leading Authorities Call For Increased Vitamin D Use To Combat COVID-19."

https://covid.us.org/2020/12/10/over-100-scientists-doctors-leading-authorities-call-for-increased-vitamin-d-use-to-combat-covid-19/

The effect of proper Vitamin D levels are absolutely critical FOR ALL LUNG INFECTIONS. Take 5,000IU per day... every day.... the affect is DRAMATIC... GREATLY lessens ALL LUNG INFECTIONS (Flus too) and DRAMATICALLY MINIMIZES Symptoms.

loverat 3 points ago +3 / -0

Correct. The reason why Covid/Flu/Pneumonia wreak havoc on the oldies is because as we age our bodies become far less efficient at processing VitD from food sources. Combined with the inadequate diets of Westerners AND either the lack of sun or avoidance of the sun - it was just a matter of time before some lung-attacking virus would decimate our elderly - especially in closed systems like aged care. I know in Australia based on testing the majority of people live with low or non-existent levels of Vitamin D. I take 5,000IU per day, I smoke cigs and weed and have had the flu once in the last ten years. Compared to the non-smokers I know who get the flu and colds every year I'm a friggen healthy miracle. I also suffered from really bad joint pains and midday lethargy before taking it regularly.

I remember last year when doctors were being debunked for speaking about VitD as it relates to Covid - so it's obviously true.

2
Bullet3250 2 points ago +2 / -0

Some more VITD updates here.... they say 8,000iu per day...

Vitamin D helps for sure. But yet beaches are bad right? 🙄

2
PeachmintsPepe45 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thank you! But she still wouldn't listen. She's not a “risk-taker” and compares it to Russian Roulette. 🙄

5
grassshrimp 5 points ago +5 / -0

I'm likely older than your parents. You are not being selfish, you are being smart given the mortality rate for youth your age is close to zero. If your parents can't accept that reality via your patient education, along with the fact that these vaccines are potentially dangerous long term, don't cave to their demands.

Live your life as you wish, you are an adult. Be respectful but firm. If they can't accept it, move out. Hopefully your parents will come to their senses, but the MSM isn't helping.

2
PeachmintsPepe45 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thank you! I try and state my thoughts clearly but she always shouts stop debating me and refuses to have a conversation on these issues that don't involve me agreeing with her.

5
airgag 5 points ago +5 / -0

Tell them you will wait for clinical trial phase 3 to finish first.

If you talk pfizer experimental rna vaccine that it's this one https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04368728

Estimated Study Completion Date : April 6, 2023

By then they will be fed another bullshit by their master through msm and bigtech and forget about the vaccine.

1
PeachmintsPepe45 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Good idea! However, it won't work.

5
ColoRobo 5 points ago +5 / -0

Never forget who the selfish ones really are. Imagine thinking that trying to manipulate another human being into injecting themselves with something they’re not comfortable with all because you personally are scared somehow makes them the selfish one. It’s selfish to expect other people to conform to your fears.

4
Abovethefray 4 points ago +4 / -0

Thats like us being selfish for wanting to kerp a little more of our money, instead of the gov giving it away to freeloaders....

1
PeachmintsPepe45 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Exactly...

1
PeachmintsPepe45 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Exactly. Never forget!

5
Muscleup12 5 points ago +5 / -0

The constitution gave every individual rights. You make the decision solely on your own decision making. Me and my fiance have this same talk, I won't due to the fact I have a better chance of getting struck by lightning than getting covid and dying from it at my age group. My grandma is scared shitless and has aged crazy in the last year she has kept herself couped up in the house and she has rh- blood even... All I suggest is make a definitive answer and state it to them so you can get that burden/grudge out between you and your family. For women I definitely wouldn't get it due to the reproductive problems that have been highlighted. But anyway here is a pic of fauci and soros just to solidify not getting it.. https://imgur.com/JrLPEn6

1
PeachmintsPepe45 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

She thinks safety from a 99% survival rate is more important than individual right and freedom. It's madness! I've stated my thoughts very clearly but she doesn't understand. She's irrational with this China Flu.

4
Trump4allz 4 points ago +4 / -0

Make your own vax cards for you and your bro. They would have no way to verify if these are legit. https://patriots.win/saved/Vaccine%20card%20/

I show it to them: “I’m Mclovin!”.

3
Dialectic 3 points ago +3 / -0

You’re a young man. She can’t force you to do shit. If she threatens to kick you out, appeal to your father’s slumbering leadership. Failing that prepare to get an apartment or move in with friends

1
PeachmintsPepe45 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Don't have any friends in this area so I'm kind of stuck here.

3
TheRougarou 3 points ago +3 / -0

That’s a tough one, fren. Personally, if my parents told me to poison myself or leave, I would leave and it would be years before I even spoke to them again.

1
PeachmintsPepe45 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Fair enough. I'm definitely frustrated by this. We never fought like this until this China Flu. We agree on many things. This flu has made her completely irrational.

3
Q-Skeptic 3 points ago +3 / -0

Well they cannot make you take it against your will. Show them RFK, Jr. Sometimes he reaches people in the generation over us since they loved Kennedy.

Odds are though, that if your parents are anything like my mom, they’ll take the vaccine no matter what and you’ll just have to find a way to stand your ground.

1
PeachmintsPepe45 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'll do my best tomorrow!

3
nozonozo 3 points ago +3 / -0

Did your parents force you to get the flu vaccine when you were 16, 18, 20?

The China Virus is less deadly to someone your age than the standard flu.

The science says that children don't need the vaccine, in fact, a risk benefit analysis would show more risk to you to get the vaccine. There are side effects.

2
PeachmintsPepe45 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes, they did. Exactly. But vaccines are cures am I right? 🙄

2
nonrate 2 points ago +2 / -0

When it gets to that point, you just have to stand your ground and annoy them by saying over and over that they're wrong. Keep reminding them they're wrong. Institute doubt. Be confident in your assertion.

1
PeachmintsPepe45 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Fair enough. I surely speak my mind on this issue.

2
MsAnthropic 2 points ago +2 / -0

Don’t take it. If they try to force you, either lie to them or move out with your brother.

1
PeachmintsPepe45 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Fair enough.

whomurderedepstein 2 points ago +2 / -0

Run away to rainbow land. Look up Rainbow gathering circle of living light, they aren't gay, they are gatherings of like minded hippies who share free food and camp. A lot of the traveling homeless attend and if you go there they will adopt you and you can disappear with them. No money needed there is plenty of money to be made on the road. Let the dead burry the dead.

3
Abovethefray 3 points ago +3 / -0

Are they the remnants of the Grateful Dead followers?

2
whomurderedepstein 2 points ago +2 / -0

Well kind of. The people following the dead didn't have anything to do the summer of 72 when the Dead went off tour. So they and many others decided to gather in the national forest to pray for peace under their constitutional rights as humans. They were dead heads, Vietnam vets, hobos, hippies and every other group associated with the counter culture of the time. Christians, Hari Krishnas, native Americans and many other religious faiths too. At the first gathering there was 40,000 people who gathered. Since then, gatherings happen over the span of a month, all over the world, all the time. In the US they are continued through the traveling homeless culture which has always existed unseen and still does today. The traveling kids of the US will adopt any run away. At gatherings everything is built through voulenteerism and social ostracization. It was decided through consensus by consensus that decisions effecting the group should be made with 100% group consensus. So anyone can call a council, anyone can speak at council, anyone can call for consensus (usually by silence) concerning an item. It is through this process that the culture of rainbow was created and is sustained. Food is free through the volunteerism of the people who attend. There is also a trade circle where things are traded. It's like a spontaneous free camping event where you are expected to pitch in and be part of the community.

2
PeachmintsPepe45 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I've actually never heard of groups like this.

1
whomurderedepstein 1 point ago +1 / -0

No one is in charge, no one makes money, a bunch of people camping in the woods, sharing food and praying for peace. Doesn't suprise me you've never heard of them.

2
Chaotikizm 2 points ago +3 / -1

You've survived a year of this bullshit.

Why concede to a vaccine that wont change a thing in societal behavior? You'll still be treated like sick cattle. The vaccines wont stop at one.

Your body your choice.

I'd threaten to treat her and her property the way antifa treats Portland authority figures if she were to force you to get sick for her peace of mind.

But that's just me.

2
PeachmintsPepe45 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Exactly. I'm a 21-year-old man. This China Flu largely doesn't affect me. I work with people all the time, and yet I never once got it.

2
Femprep 2 points ago +2 / -0

Instead of trying to force her to see all the ways this pandemic is retarded, have you tried going the feelings tactic? That the vaccine is so new and experimental and nobody really knows potential long term effects and you have to sign a waiver before getting it and it just makes you uncomfortable? That it’s bad enough the UK says pregnant women shouldn’t take it and there’s questions regarding whether it affects fertility? Haven’t seen the potential effect(if any) on sperm count but it’s new, who knows! Maybe if you seemed kinda open to it “eventually” she wouldn’t come down all hard ass on you.

Ultimately though you’re just buying time til you can move out.

Edit: and yes Apple when I type ass I mean ass not ads. I’m so done with you when I need a new phone.

1
PeachmintsPepe45 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I delved a little into that and it won't hurt to delve more into it thanks!

1
JonathanE 1 point ago +2 / -1

Tell your parents that it is against international law to force you to take an experimental vaccine.

If they continue to try to force you, you could always threaten to take them to court and sue them for everything.

Then you would own the house and make the rules, assuming you continued to let your parents stay with you.

3
AngelMark 3 points ago +3 / -0

It’s easier to move out! Adults move out of mom n dads house!

I'm working saving money I'm in an area without close friends. So, I'm not in the best situation right now for roommates.

1

I just couldn't do that to my parents.
