A reflection for Good Friday for all the Christian pedes out there....
Christ, the Word made flesh and TRUTH incarnate was crucified. Throughout history and even our daily lives this crucifixion is replayed over and over.
Pilate is often found today in those person who hold position and authority yet wash their hands of a sticky situation, choosing rather to allow an innocent man be destroyed than to risk personal injury.
Pilate asks Our LORD, "what is truth?" when Truth Himself is literally staring him back in the face.
In 2020 through lies and misrepresentation of COVID-19 built on a foundation of attacks on Donald Trump the political establishment (Pharisees) decided to destroy him, no matter what it cost.
While Donald Trump is by no means perfect, I think there is a very accurate parallel between what's happened to him and what was done to Christ. Losing their power and influence over the people to one man, unable to beat him with their arguments or smears, they committed themselves to seize him in the middle of the night and destroy him.
There's a lot more that could be said but I think that's the gist of it. Crucifixion parallels don't always result in a resurrection, or at least ones we can see. There is no guarantee Trump's situation will result in a political resurrection. But it is possible if you decide to stand up and get involved, maybe once a week.
As Christians we put our faith in God and our hope in Heaven, but we work to establish his Kingdom on earth. To my fellow Christian pedes, don't give up. If Christ can suffer what He did in His Passion and return to forgive his cowardly disciples and call his people to action, if Trump can be worked over by fraud and still call his followers to hope and action, then you can join the PC Project and make a change.
