Why not just open an office or mfg plant in Brownsville to help revitalize? Or has he already done that? Throwing $$ at a problem is rarely successful.

Because it’s a bribe. Well intentioned or not, hard to not be open to someone’s plant development initiatives when they just wrote you a cool check for 30 million. That’s how this shit works. They’ll eat out of his hand if they want the money to keep flowing.

He's going to be bringing a lot of jobs to the area in the next couple years. Think he just wants to help the city become a more desirable place to live so he can convince people to come work there.

I'm not sure making all the local politicians and school administrators millionaires is the way to do it.

Good luck with that. Brownsville is avoided by most Texans for a reason. It's a shit hole just like El Paso.

You better be fluid in hispanic to work there.

I'll say this.

If anyone could actually fix Brownsville, it's Musk. I dunno if he can, but he's not a moron either. I'm interested to see if this works. If it does it shows that capitalism ultimately is the solution, not government taxes.
