The problem is some people are not irreligious due to genuine skepticism but rather have simply been indoctrinated into a competing ideology, in which there being no god is one of the tenants of belief. But it's just as dogmatic and immune to logic as religion.
I'm an atheist and to me that term shouldn't come with any more baggage beyond not believing a god exists. But try going to r/atheism without being a raging leftist.

If we are all equal in the eyes of God, which is a big departure from Judaism, there is no need for an Elite. There is no kissing the ring. People fail to realize what an astoundingly earth shattering concept equality in the eyes of GOD, particularly in the ancient world, was/is.
