Trump was never in favor of eroding civil liberties, never. And he's not in favor of forced vax either. The three above are a different story as you well know. They couldn't get us to turn on Trump, so the swamp used us as a ransom to control Trump. Trump cares for people and genuinely wants to save this country from utter destruction. That was his only Achilles heel, if indeed it is one.
There's likely much more going on that we don't know about - the swamp is very evil - a good man stewed in that swamp for four years for our sakes - so maybe it's not so baffling.
He touted the vax because he believes the scientists who make it, and was proud for the speed at which it was made. He didn't 'allow' any of these abuses - Presidents aren't meant to be autocrats. He can't stop the idiot governors and other swamp scum, because we elected the bastards.
There are no powers afforded to him where he can send a battalion to take over a state government, let alone the power to stop the scum in the federal government. He's the head of the executive branch, and he has limits. He is not one to abuse those limits even though everyone else does with lust and malice.
Extraordinary times require extraordinary actions.
The whole conservative trope of “taking the high road” and “muh optics” is PRECISELY why we are where we are. The left will do WHATEVER it takes to destroy and transform this country.
At those two moments specifically, we needed not a President but a leader who would take the necessary actions to preserve our freedoms and election integrity by ANY MEANS NECESSARY.
