Politicians are not unknown bureaucrats following marxist sociopolitical theory silently weaponizing police authority against the citizenry. Politicians are the public facing facet of that power-bloc.
Name the politicians who voted to renew the Patriot Act and expand the erosion of Constitutional protections. It's a simple of matter of searching for it. Now, name the endless numbers of bureaucrats that have gleefully fulfilled those unconstitutional orders. That's going to take several FOIA requests with a few dozen government agencies, likely a few lawsuits, a team of researchers pouring over the mountains of documents it generates and several piles of cash.
The American people are literally suffering at the hands of a bureaustocracy.
