I think we don't know yet.

We are genetically programmed to fear spiders and snakes. There are many other seemingly innate fears.

Darwin's survival of the fittest is very, very slow. These other innate memories would have to have been developed by a more active evolutionary process. The need for this is obvious but it has not been acknowledged yet.
