Guessing here, but let's see if it turns out right.. Seems the white driver crashing the barrier is separate from the shooting and an obfuscation to hide black shooting of a couple of police officers which is practically a daily occurrence in the US in democrat run cities. Somehow this shooting got exposure on media so they need another story to take attention off of it.
I was wrong, should have applied Occam's Razor and drawn the simplest conclusion. Which was media lied out of the gate.
One incident, black driver with a knife, nobody shot other than the driver after knifing the 2 cops, one of which died.
Media still may go with excessive force because the innocent black driver who was was only armed with a knife died.
