I have lived in DC for 45 years. The Capitol Complex is its own part of the city. Downtown offices are nowhere near the Capitol itself. If your buddies got locked down it's due to management's stupidity, or DC metro police stupidity, not proximity to the incident.

A knife. Cops shot him. Reporter on OAN just said cops "exchanged fire", I wonder what kind of bullets the perp's knife uses.
