Why the hell did sports leagues think it was a good idea to get involved in politics? They have to understand that ~50% of people are going to disagree with whatever decision they make. Sports leagues are in the business of marketing sports and generating interest among everyone in their sport. It boggles the mind for a for-profit institution to shoot itself in the leg like this.

they dont care because tubby white guys will never stop watching. gives them a couple hours to get a case of beer, place a couple degenerate bets and tune the family out for a while.
