With so little deterrent, a high percentage of murderers never punished/released early, and so much glorification of gunplay/"Thug Life" by MSM/Hollywood/the "music" industry it is no surprise that Chicago's murder rate for 2019 was 519 homicides, 2754 shootings in total. (The average numbers of shootings/homicides went down a little during the Trump Presidency.)
There are no easy answers but obviously, something must be done about the Amish. They are doing nothing whatsoever to affect this situation in any way, and it should be addressed.
