I don't say this to make light of what Jesus did. If I was in Jesus's shoes, knowing how corrupt humanity was going to be, I wouldn't have gone to the cross. Jesus is far more loving and merciful than I am that he saw how awful humans are and he still chose to sacrifice himself to save them.
