I hope to God more states take note.

  1. The CDC does not make laws.

  2. Eviction moratoriums are screwing over lots of people, including responsible renters who are continuing to pay and sometimes their rents are increasing due to this nonsense. It's also screwing over small time "mom and pop" landlords. It's also screwing over anyone who may be needing to move for whatever reason. (So many places have NOWHERE open because of these eviction moratoriums.)

Its a real-estate grab. Did they put moratorium on insurance premiums? Or property taxes? Or roofing repairs??

Exactly. Some people are trying to grab all the real estate. That's the plan as well with the mortgage forbearance... in the long term. Mortgage forbearance needs to be over too.

Texas to CDC: You have no power here!

Feds are going to step in on this one.

They're going to sue Texas. Housing laws are covered under Federal laws too, so it's going to get messy.

There's no federal law though. Eviction moratoriums are extremely unpopular with lots of people. They don't want to make law about it. They want to just leave it to the CDC.

It really does. There is no logic in this stuff.

Probably not but they can at least get them out.
