Peter is asleep. Judas has betrayed him. Mary is crying. Hope is lost, Death has won, Satan is laughing.....
Jesus is buried. A Soldier stands guard. A rock is rolled into place......
But Sunday is coming!!

can you explain this for me, as someone who is only recently coming into faith. If we are all sinners what does it mean that Jesus took our sin?
It means that Jesus paid he debt he didn’t owe because we owed a debt we couldn’t pay. Only the blood of Jesus can free us from the grasp of sin. The wages of sin is death. But Jesus defeated death when he rose again three days later, establishing a route for us to follow him into eternal life when our time on Earth is done. By grace, through faith we are saved.
Preach brother!
What about all the people that lived before jesus?
They’re saved too. God and heaven exists outside of time.
...and this was only able to be done by Jesus because he was without sin. Some misguided preachers claim that Jesus was a sinner like everyone else, but this is quantifiably false
it's like, you know when you really fuck up? like you steal your older brothers drugs and get lit with his gf and you end up banging, and you know it was wrong even though it felt sooooo good.
but jesus bears all the responsibility for it, as long as you repent and apologize to god. it's like, he'll tell your brother it was him and take the ass beating.
and he does it for every single human being that lets jesus into their life. truly amazing! I love you jesus!
Heaven. Everyone that asks Him to forgive their sin goes there to be with Him. Simple as that.
It's an allegory for the movement of the sun, so... in the sky?
Read romans 7 & 8.. read it over and over until it finally clicks. It may take a bit, it did for me.
Romans 8:1 is the pinnacle of scripture and the answer to your question. It is what the entire Bible is building towards. BTW your question is THE question. I’ll happily try and answer any questions.
which translation do you use?
I recommend NKJV. Red letter edition.
Deep is the rabbit hole, -- but 'narrow is the way'.

I'd recommend getting a parallel Bible. The one I use has the KJV, NASB, NIV and amplified side by side. Study Greek and Hebrew, as Hebrew and Greek work a little differently, so it helps to know and aleph from an alpha.

I personally like NET or NASB. The NET Bible foot notes a lot of why they picked a certain word in the translation. Daniel B Wallace of Dallas Seminary was involved in the translation.
I prefer the ESV or New American Standard. Both attempt to be a literal word for word translation and not an interpretation of meaning. I think this is important; especially for those who want to dive deeper.
Edit: though based on your name you might prefer some golden plates lol.
The veil was ripped from top to bottom after he was nailed to the cross. I am pretty sure that this means any man on this Earth can speak to God through Jesus via the Holy Spirit. Trinity, if you will.
No blood sacrifices needed, anymore. No annual trip to the most holy places. You can ask for forgiveness and repent, as needed, through the Son of Man. The Christ.
Before Abraham was, I am.
it means if you repent and try to be better, you are all set bro. he took the biggest burden from ALL of us. that is why he is the legend that he is.
i know its really hard to go to church with covid, but hopefully you can find a good one after covid settles down. you will love it and jesus will love you
