Yeah it's really just jealousy and envy when you boil it down. They know they can never be as intelligent, successful, or as attractive, especially concerning females. This has been going on a very long time but they are highlighting it now because it fits in with the blame Trump narritive.
The problem for them is that now seems most people know it is blacks attacking Asians, which means they have to start charging Blacks with hate crimes, which really opens up a pandora's box for them. My guess is that they realize this and they'll quickly shift their focus away from this onto something entirely different no matter how trivial and ridiculous it is. Covid is a very easy pivot for them so that'll probably be it along with this new Jim Crow garbage they're pushing
