He could have, the situation is that he almost certainly sat down with some very wise elders and they explained that he had done enough. It has been proven many times in the past year alone that we're far too complacent. We sit back and hope police grab the looter, hope the judges rule in favor of the federal law and hope Trump fights every battle because we lack the courage to do ourselves. We sat back as they passed unconstitutional election laws, as did nearly every congress member we voted for. The point is, had he taken the ultimatum route, we'd become dependent on daddy to take any action. Read my other comment, the corruption we're fighting doesn't go away if we win the election, they'll be there waiting long after Trump is gone and among us for as long as we allow them. In either scenario, the people have yet to learn to stand up for themselves. One win means nothing, as hard as that is to accept.
