I'm old enough to remember there was some sort of Players Strike crazy thing back around that time but it does seem to me MLB baseball was never the same again. It lost whatever 'magic past-time' feels.
yes, it had a scaled-down version return in it's place. Never the thing it was before.
Greed destroyed MLB in 1994. MLB never recovered. It's now a third string product.
