A few years ago I had an idea for a sequel to Oregon Trail. I was going to call it Oregon Trail 2 The Trail of Tears. You can imagine what the scenarios would be.

The US was tribal and wide open for anyone to grab just like every other chunk of land on the planet. The indians were savages to each other for crying out loud.
Let me be clear on what most Native Americans were: The best analogy is modern street gangs; a bunch of loosely confederated groups operating semi independently under a larger group identity (crips, bloods, Sioux) perpetrating crimes of opportunity against anyone who crossed their path.
If Lewis and Clark had been Mr. Lewis and Mr. Clark, instead of Lewis and Clark and 38 men armed to the teeth, they would have been slaughtered.
Tribal 'borders' were in flux due to constant warfare, almost no group occupied the same region for more than 200 years. Almost all claims to ancient ancestral tribal homelands are complete and utter bullshit.
I love the Leftist Myth that "Native Americans" were just peace-loving peoples, all united, and living in harmony with nature, when the reality is they were constantly at war with one another, with one tribe making slaves out of another, and the only reason they didn't create civilization isn't because of any noble purpose, but because, much like in Africa, they lacked the drive and technology to make the most out of the land's natural resources.
If their previous lifestyle was so great why don't they go back to horses and teepees... not gonna happen. Instead they'll just park a few more broke down cars in their yards when they get their next gov check
Yes, I wonder this when I see it hear about poor conditions on their Indian reservations. The only people living there are Indians, why aren't they all living in harmony with nature and what not? Who made the Indian reservation a squalid ghetto? It wasn't the White people who made it that way... It was the Indians.

I remember played Oregon Trail off of a 5&1/4” floppy disk on a single color screen. The left ruins everything.
I was never really into the game except for the shooting bears and squirrels part.
