The problem with Tariq is that, while he is intelligent, he's still stupid enough to assume that other people similar to him in one way (skin color) are similar to him in another way (attitude toward violence and crime, intellect, etc.)

So when we're not dealing explicitly with Other Black People (OBP) who are doing bad things, he's often to be found saying things I will agree with. But as soon as OBP enter the mix, he's falling back on ideas like "I would not do this, therefore they would not do this, therefore someone is trying to make me, who I equate with OBP, look bad."

Tariq, dude, I know you wouldn't do this stuff. Your profile pic is you wearing a suit, with your hands clasped in a dignified way. You clearly take yourself clearly as a man and an individual. But you're just you, not every OBP. Just as La Cosa Nostra doesn't apply to me, yet was still an Italian Problem, Black Dudes kicking the shit out of innocent Asians is a Black Problem... it's just not you.
