It's interesting that there hasn't been a cure found for AIDS or cancer but they have found expensive drug regimens that slow down the inevitable death of the person as long as they take the expensive cocktail of drugs for the rest of their lives.
I guess they can't make money after the patient is cured. They can't make money if the patient is dead. So the only way to make the most money is to keep the patient alive with the disease while keeping the disease from killing them for as long as possible.
