I think He cares enough about you to try and change it to a legitimate belief. No one began anything with a full understanding, much like you didnt with your understanding of science or any other discipline, which are still compatible in all aspects as far as ive found with an (even extremely devout) belief. But at the end of the day, the Christian God compares saving faith to that of a mustard seed, which is one of the smallest seeds in the floral kingdom. So by that understanding, nearly any faith can save, even the smallest and most seemingly inconsequential. Such is the power of His grace, and all it takes is a bit of humility to start seeing that as a hope instead of an obstacle
