if nobody has the balls to shoot at an invading army now - they won't have them after secession either.

I think half the problem is we have no real leadership or real plan....I think secession would force clear lines and invaders would not be met by the new “rebels” in kind.

The country is already irreparably divided, let’s just dance the boogaloo already. There’s nothing to reconcile between us, the America we knew is gone as they’ve become fundamentally anathema to everything we stand for.

I would say that's 80% the problem.

Times like these show the true importance of a general. Nobody wants to be a kamikaze just for it to be worth nothing the next day.

I believe exactly the same. And I love Donald Trump for all that he’s done, we probably wouldn’t be talking about it openly had he not come around. But let’s face it, he was never going to be that general. He’s a 70+ year old billionaire who loves America. He’s not a soldier
