People are such sheep I don't think there's any way to convince them or at least make them do some real research into what's going on. What should people do to be able to get to them more and make them think about it?

"Masks work, hospitals have used them for years" was used on me. Ignoring my interjection that they are used there against bacteria not viruses.
And that bacterial infection reason is bull shit too. Masks are worn in hospitals because they thought they should wear them back in the earlier 1900's and it's stayed that way. A 2015 study from the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine looked at surgeons wearing masks and found, "overall there is a lack of substantial evidence to support claims that facemasks protect either patient or surgeon from infectious contamination".
From 1991, World Journal of Surgery, a study which included 3088 patients found, "after 1,537 operations performed with face masks, 73 (4.7%) wound infections were recorded and, after 1,551 operations performed without face masks, 55 (3.5%) infections occurred. This difference was not statistically significant...".
Masks are theater.
Agree... basically used in case of a sneeze. I worked In O.R for years!
