Hey i was looking for somewhere i could go for a while to escape this nonsense. I was thinking simply going to Florida or Texas, but if stores enforce it its kinda a moot point. I live in KC Missouri and we have no mask mandate but everyone still wears one, and many things aren’t open anyway.

My Wife and I play a game when we go out, we automatically and sort of involuntarily count people with muzzles and people without, then we analyze why we think they're wearing them.

Old folks we might let off easy but we end up deciding most people wear them because they're ignorant and scared. When I say old folks I mean older than me and I'm near 70.

I'd say we still have near half the people wearing muzzles over in town, less than 10% out here away from town. Mainly blacks who seem to wear them almost constantly and maybe half the hispanics.

Purely anecdotal.

If you want a vacation try a Texas beach, maybe, but be careful we see escalating crime and stoopid shiite. LE is not your Fren in urban areas, muzzle Karens are still out there. You can ignore them but some of them just insist on provoking a response. Texas does reciprocate carry permits tho so bring it if you want, I would.

Stay home and fight there, is my thought tho.

The thing is,, yes the state says no masks, no fines, but a store can ask you to leave and you could be charged with trespassing possibly. I'm in FL and outside we certainly dont wear them, but in stores is another thing. At a restaurant, you wear it in the door and take it off when you sit down. I have seen a few isolated people who walk into grocery store and Lowes Home Depot without a mask. Have not seen anyone making a huge deal out of it.

Fla is HOT and humid starting the end of May. SDakota is great in spring, fall.

Stpetersburg has a nice beach, fairly quiet, at Passagrille beach is SabalPalms motel,, quiet place to stay and nearby is a free<i think> shuttle that will take you on a half hour or so trip to downtown StPete- museums, shops, restaurants,, scenic places to see. Dali Museum, James Museum, Sunken Gardens, Chihuly Museum are a few. There's a new Pier in StPete, the waterfront is nice- this is the Bay side.

In 45 minutes or so you can be in Tampa <Riverwalk in the evening- old cigar town nearby <Ybor City> the aquarium.

A huge bridge- the Skyway- takes you from StPete to Sarasota, nicer beaches there- annaMaria- Long Boat Key. See Selby Gardens, great view of Sarasota Bay from there. eat at the Columbia Restaurant, shop at StArmands Square- high end.

I’ve found in Texas that stores aren’t actually enforcing their own corporate mask mandates. HEB had a greeter with masks who asked me if I wanted one and I said no. Walked right by no hassle.

I haven’t worn a mask during normal errands for a few weeks now and have never been hassled. Really, during the height of the pandemic I’m pretty sure I would have never been truly hassled if I didn’t have a mask.

This is central Texas. You may find urban areas to be totally cucked still.

SD is not bad. Low costs wide open.
