As much as I like Russian culture (even learning the language), I'm under no illusions of their corruption problems. Putin comes off as charismatic, but in my mind he is both the savior and executioner of Russian society.

The Russian economy has grown expodentionally under Putin . Putin refused to get on knees and suck American cock. That is why is best for Russia. First time I visited Russia was in 1999 and it was in chaos and anarchy with not much shopping services or goods . Now I go and its like downtown NYC with shops , botiques , malls , luxury dept. stores . fancy eatieries and people are driving mercedez and bmw. Putin has done good for Russia and he could do more if it were not for western sanctions
