When you watch Tom Cruise's earliest interviews, you see he was a different guy. Decades in a cult which tells you that you're a superior being will fuck you up... in addition to superstar fame.

I still enjoy his movies, though. He's good at what he does. The Jack Reacher movies are pretty killer.

Agreed. He knows hos to entertain his audience and he does it well. I don't think I've ever seen him comment of politics. Is he a mind your own business type of actor?

Come to think of it, you're right! I've never seen him comment on politics. And they always attack him on his Scientology views even though he doesn't really publicly comment on it. Also, a lot of Scientologists are Trump Supporters -- they were let out of the "Compound" specifically so they could vote for Trump. Ron Miscavige stated this on Joe Rogan's podcast.

I've never had a problem with Scientology. Not interested in the teachings, it's that they don't go around forcing people to believe anything the way the commies do. I always try to tolerate voluntary behaviour. Just hope Cruise sticks to making entertaining films. He's really good at it.

Well, if you study cult techniques, it really is one. Leah Remini's podcast exposes it pretty well. It's basically built on the Sunk Cost Fallacy.
