Library cards are free. Libraries are funded by tax dollars.

acshuly, in african culture, it's not unusual for someone to return a book years late. late fees are a racist construct to keep minorities from learning

A lot of libraries have stopped late fees altogether. Their reasoning is that it is time consuming and not worth it. Has nothing to do with race......just lazy people on both sides of the counter.
