I've got a whole BULGING folder devoted to strictly Mrs Brown's Boys. I noticed the dilution/diminishing-returns process starting in about midway thru Season 2. All the 'let's get the gang back together, AGAIN' 'specials' didn't help either.
Why do otherwise-brilliant shows just all tend to run out of steam, and most of those ABRUPTLY? I.E., the process isn't death-by-degrees so much as everybody goes on vacation between seasons and are replaced by Special Ed grade-school kids as writers the following seasons.
My God - hopefully I can patiently and methodically download all the TDDUP episodes from youtube (that may take a while), then Allo Allo. Seriously, between my 10 tb of strictly movies and my nearly 4 tb now of series, I'll be set until The Apocalypse (which may be closer than we think). Why do I think of Anthony Burgess' Twilight Zone character in Time Enough At Last - the sole survivor of the nuclear holocaust and will FINALLY be able to read all the banned books he wants...then steps on his glasses. I've amassed DECADES worth of viewing material and if Biden, Pelosi, Schumer & The Rest of the Maniacs get their way, we'll become cave-dwelling cannibals shortly, with only the elites having any actual electricity.
