Classical liberalism is a specific thing. It doesn't just mean challenging the established order.

Rather it sort of means believing in the most amount of freedom for the most people. The real quote that defines classical liberalism is "I might not agree with what you say, but I will fight to the death to defend your right to say it."

Now, I get that we're used to calling the left liberals, but really they aren't liberal at all anymore, and haven't been for decades. I try hard not to use the term liberal anymore, since we're dealing with authoritarian leftists, not liberals.

But I slip up sometimes.
