Fun Fact: Hyphenations denote actual immigrants. One who is a citizen of Italy who then immigrates legally to America is an Italian-American. I, of Italian Descent, whose parents and even grandparents were born here, am just an American. A Black Man who is a legal Italian Citizen who has immigrated here is an Italian-American, even if none of his ancestors have even a single Italian Helix among all their DNA.

Furthermore, Africa is a Continent, not a Country. "America" technically is not a country either, however it is a colloquial term for citizens of the United States OF America, but even allowing for "American" meaning a citizen of the States, it is impossible to be an "African-American" as there is no such "African Citizenship" as there is "American Citizenship."

So under real rules, nah, he's not African-American. But under "Whatever the hell you want, make up the rules as you go" rules, the rules that the left uses, sure, why not?
