Germany was and is still is overwhelmingly Christian, both Protestant and Catholic, and yes, the German scientists were largely responsible for the Moon landings.
The German people were very successful scientists and engineers BEFORE the Nazis came to power.
A large part of this success is due to the Christian work ethic.
