Cost me $45 for 50 low grain 9mm last week. That’s like an extra tank of gas. Still worth it. Quit the energy drink habit and buy a box each pay day.

Remember when people would tell you to only buy the commonly made rounds and those you would be likely to find during an apocalypse. I knew a guy who literally sold everything he owned that didn't chamber 9mm, 5.56 and 7.62. I bet he is hating that decision about now. My 9mm hasn't been fired but a few times during this pandemic bullshit but I'm burning up some .45 Winchester ammo on the cheap and stashing any 9mm I find at the moment.

I don't know where you are looking but on the Ammo Buy search engine you can find quite a large selection of 9mm. Descent quality (no steel or reman) for under 70¢ a round. 45 ACP is is over 90¢ with good availability but not as good as 9mm. On the rifle side, I can hardly find anything in 6.5 creedmoor, if you can it's $3 per round. Similar size cartridge 7.62x51 (308 Win) is widely available at about $1/round. I just bought a cheap 308 just to have something to shoot.

The shortage in powder and primers is even worse.

I managed to score some 22lr for 15 cents a round, and I was pretty happy.

If you find it on a store shelf the price has crept up to 12 cents for bulk, and 15-20 for quality stuff.

9mm is running 35-45 cents on the same shelf.
