At this point, I've got to wonder why we don't just pick the worst country these people are coming from and invade it as it is a national security threat. Invade the country, reset their government and make that into the new place where the immigrants flee to. The new country would welcome them with open arms as it would be independent of the US.

Literally everybody wins, except for the government of the country being invaded. The people of that country get rid of their terrible government, the US stops the flow of illegals and the warmongers get a brand new war to fight and spend defense dollars on.

Of course, this approach makes too much sense for the Democrats to put into practice, but it would solve a lot of problems.
