On a regular basis I’m pointing out medical research to my physician friends. The research is written in English and you have as much capability as a non scientist to read and understand the information.
That's right. People don't understand that if you are scientifically literate, you don't have to be a specialist in the field of the research you're reading to understand where there are possible experimental design flaws and other problems.
I feel like medical texts intentionally use obscure or Latin words to make it harder for the average person to understand sometimes, also legal texts do this.
The Q in LGBTQ is "questioning." I identify as that one now: I'm "questioning." My core identity is asking questions about everything, all the time.
So I'm now LGBTQ, and "questioning" is my truth. Denying my "questioning" identity is right wing fascism and basically a crime against humanity. Therefore, this is bigoted speech that should be shut down.
