I don’t think the 13/56 takes into factor crime committed 30-50yrs ago. If so, the population % and types of crimes would be different. I always figured the number come from modern statistics, like the past 5-10yrs.
But isn’t it like murders/violent crimes? If it was 13/56 in the 70s, it’s gotta be 13/99 today. I’d imagine it’s way way worse today than it was back then but idk.
